Company Profile
The firm of SED DESIGN is dedicated to the design of distinctive and evocative spaces in the context of the larger landscape.   Basic to this work is the development of a scientific and aesthetic understanding of each site and its regional setting.    Study and evaluation of environmental conditions and natural systems, cultural influences and historical impacts, as well as user needs are essential to this understanding.   The firm uses research and analysis to reveal the inherent and unique qualities of sites so that they may be utilized and enhanced in the design process.   At the same time, this approach establishes a scientific basis for the restoration of natural systems that is also a vital design component.     The firm’s landscape architects feel that design should integrate creative and scientific process to produce memorable work that contributes to environmental health by restoring life sustaining ecological balance our planet’s fragile ecosystems.

SED DESIGN brings innovative solutions to each project in the creation of unique and memorable spaces.   The firm’s public landscapes and private gardens integrate design with low impact and green principles to meet the programmatic needs of each individual client.
